Installation of CEMEXTRA Capsules and Rockbolts

1. Clean the drill hole with wet cloth or sponge attached to a stick. |

2. Soak the capsules in water for 2-3 minutes or until the bubbling stops. After the capsule is soaked in water the compound in resilient and plasticized for a few minutes. |

3. Insert the capsules. If necessary, especially for long holes, Insert the capsules with the aid of a thin-walled plastic or steel pipe. Firmly tamp each capsule with the stick. Put enough capsules until the drill hole is full. Cut the capsule if needed. |

4. Push the rockbolt manually or with a tool such as the rockdrill into the drillhole filled with the capsules. Its pointed end will rupture the capsule and displace the compound at the same time pushing it against the walls and cracks of the drillhole. The excess compound will spill out of the hole. |

5. Install the bearing plate and nut. Tighten the nut after 2-hours or more. |
The hardened CEMEXTRA, with its high compressive and flexural strengths, will adhere strongly to the rockbolt and the rock. It will carry the load beyond the breaking strength of the rockbolting material used.
