    Capsules | Grout

CEMEXTRA Grout is a non-chloride, quick-setting and shrink compensating cementitious grout for use in general civil engineering works. It is a unique grout mixture of polymers, cement and aggregates that provides extended working life and high early and ultimate strengths.

    CEMEXTRA Ready-To-Use Grout
    It is suitable for:
  • rock anchors, bolts and bars
  • rock consolidation
  • stanchion base plates and columns,
  • prefabricated concrete panels and beams and other joints where load bearing is not required
  • bridge bearing plates
  • underpinning, and patch repair works
  • water seepage control
  • filling of intricate voids

    It offers the following advantages:

  • high early and ultimate strength
  • ready-to-use, premixed grout requires only the addition of water on site
  • a flowable, self-leveling grout
  • low water to cement ratio
  • non-chloride
  • non-staining grout, similar in appearance to plain concrete

    Water Requirements:
Actual amount of water would depend on the desired consistency for the job and temperature. Cemextra Grout can be mixed to a Plastic, Flowable and Fluid Consistency. The quantity of water required for a 25 kg bag is approximately from 3.2 to 5.0 liters mixed to desired consistency. It is best to conduct trial mixes on the materials used to determine optimum dosage.

    APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:

    Surface Preparation:
The substrate should be clean, well roughened, and pre-saturated with water

    Mixing and Preparation:
Cemextra Grout should be mixed using a suitable mixer. The correct volume of water should be added to the mixer prior to the powder. Mix until grout achieves a smooth, even consistency, approximately 3 minutes.

    Curing:
As for all cementitious materials curing is essential to prevent rapid drying due to high temperatures or strong winds . The use of wet burlaps, plastic sheets is highly recommended.

For best results, Cemextra Grout should be used within 30 minutes of the completion of mixing.

    CONSUMPTION:
A 25 kg bag mixed with 4.8 liters of water yields 13.5 liters.

  • Therefore, at 10 mm thickness, consumption is 18.4 kg/sqm
  • Approximately 75 bags CEMEXTRA grout per cubic meter

    PACKAGING:
Net content of 25 kg per bag and is packed in either a multi-ply kraft paper or woven polypropylene bag with internal polyethylene bag.

    STORAGE:
Shelf life is 18 months when stored in unopened bags in a dry environment.
